Prescribing Information for MD Turbo®
Intended Use
MD Turbo® is intended to assist with the delivery of aerosolized
medications when used in conjunction with commercialized pressurized
metered dose inhalers (pMDI). MD Turbo® is also intended for use by
patients to count the number of doses remaining in their pMDI.
Cautions
-
Press the counter button only when loading a new inhaler. Pressing the
button at any other time may cause the counter to show the wrong
number of doses remaining.
-
Be sure to use proper inhaler technique (provided with your inhaler or
by your doctor).
-
If you do not hear a click and see that the loading lever is still
pushed in after Step 4 of the Using The MD Turbo section in the
Instructions for Use, repeat the step making sure that your lips are
sealed tightly around the mouthpiece until the device clicks or the
use the priming/manual override button to deliver the medication (see
Using the Priming/Manual Override Button section in the Instructions
for Use). If you don’t hear a click and medication doesn’t come out
and the counter doesn’t count down, make sure the inhaler is loaded
correctly (see Loading the MD Turbo section in the Instructions for
Use).
-
If the inhaler needs to be rinsed, it must be removed from the sliding
tray to prevent water from filling the inside of MD Turbo. Rinsing an
inhaler while it is inside MD Turbo may affect the proper function of
the device and invalidate the product warranty.
-
Federal law restricts MD Turbo to sale by or on the order of a
physician or licensed healthcare professional.
Notes
MD Turbo should be used with one inhaler at a time, until the inhaler
is empty. Switching inhalers will affect the accuracy of the dose
counter.
