MD Turbo®

Studies show that up to 70% of patients are unable to coordinate their inhalation with the firing of their MDI (Metered-Dose Inhaler) canister.  As a consequence, patients may not get the appropriate dose from their inhaler. To help patients alleviate this “timing” problem, we developed MD Turbo, featuring our proprietary i-Point™ technology. MD Turbo is a breath-activated accessory device for use with MDIs. Its features include:

  • i-Point technology (predetermined inspiratory pressure activation) coordinates MDI actuation with the patient’s breath
  • Dose-counting mechanism for tracking the number of doses remaining in the inhaler
  • Versatile - can accept a multiplicity of presently approved MDI products. Can also be customized to accept other proprietary MDI products
  • Ease of use – two-step operation to deliver dose
  • Patents issued in the US, Australia, Japan, Europe and Canada.
