Whether it’s for one of Respirics’ internal drug development programs or one of its inhalation delivery platforms, out-license opportunities exist for a broad range of applications and therapeutic categories, including off-patent inhaled medications.
Respirics also works with companies that have their own novel compounds which require delivery to the lungs. In these alliances, we assist with feasibility studies and offer turnkey development and manufacturing through clinical trials and commercial launch production.

Drug Formulation/Process Development and Clinical Development
Companies with novel compounds for pulmonary delivery are likely to begin development trials with a nebulized version of their product. However, once the product demonstrates efficacy with a defined dose, they will need to consider a more user-friendly, portable delivery system to improve the marketability of the product. This is where we come in. At Respirics, we help companies develop their compound and optimize its delivery into a more user-friendly inhalation product by optimizing the delivery of their drug in our Acu-Breathe™ inhaler. We work with companies, from feasibility through launch, to bring the best possible products to market.
Development Laboratories
Our development laboratories are fully equipped to characterize and evaluate pharmaceutical aerosol products. Facilities include an analytical laboratory, an inhalation-testing laboratory and a laboratory for assembly and testing of inhalation devices.
